Gary,s Latest Monster size 3D Servo Router Table
Built here in Australia !!! |
Shop built 2800mm (X) x 1400mm (Y) x 680mm (Z) Heavy Duty Servo Router Table
Fortunately we were still able to locate 3 surplus large heavy duty 1500oz.in (Peak) Pacific Scientific (USA made) Servo motors for Gary
![]()
GO HERE TO SEE THIS VIDEO OF THIS MACHINE >> http://www.youtube.com/user/DownunderG

This table uses a light weight aluminium sissor construction for the gantry to keep the transmission loading to a minimum supporting the oversized required 680mm travel Z axis.
Also notice the very heavy steel base constuction, complete with vertical 600mm high dust diverting enclosure panels

There is nothing stock standard about this router table, its been totally designed from the ground up to maximize Gary,s specialized prototyping requirements.........10 out of 10

The logitrol 20amp Servo Motion Controller and Power supply fit neatly into the tables dust free ducted wooden enclosure

Standalone PC and monitor cabinet located to the side of the table keep the foam dust out .

The prototype boat hull seen in the above photo needed no additional cleaning up or sanding after machining
This part was first roughed out followed by a final finish pass.

Easy Do it Yourself Mill Retrofit
|
Medium size Knee Mill powered by our 4 axis 7amp Microstep System using the powerful
MY-COM 1300oz.in square frame rare earth magnet stepper motors included in (Package 018)

Above photo shows the Powerful 34 series MY-COM 1300oz.in stepper motor used on the X axis, retaining
the use of the machines existing crank handle. Notice the simplified mounting arrangement of the motor using a timing belt and 2 pulleys.
1:1 ratio is used between the machines leadscrew and stepper motor shaft.........Nice going Bruce!!!

The cross travel Y axis also uses the same identical MY-COM 1300oz.in stepper motor seen on the X axis, this is what makes the 018 package the perfect choice

Even this heavy rise and fall table is powered with ease using a 2:1 reduction.
With some machines, this configuration can be a more sturdy solution, apposed to retrofitting the Z (Quill) axis

Another great 10 x 4 ft Plasma table powered by our 4 axis, (dual X and X) configured 7amp Microstep System
Added September 30th 2005

Above photo shows the MAE 1080z.in stepper motors used on the left and right side of the X axis.
Motors are directly driven to each rack via a reduction pulley.

Very neat and tidy transportable computer workstation.

Notice the Y and Z axis have also been reduced from the stepper motors to the rack via a simple timing pulley and belt.
The tidy open link cable trunking ensures all motor cables are always secure
